At the time I was in the market for my last new TV it came down to a choice between Sony and Philips. Decided on the Sony as they finally came out with an affordable flat screen.

Both brands were/are made in the US and that was a prime concern for me. Regardless, what is the consensus on the reliability/quality of these Philips sets today?
