My First Restoration

Hi Everyone,

I have been a member for a while and just lurking. I am so busy I don't find much time for my old tv's. I currently have 12 sets 1951 or earlier, with round crt's that I intend to eventually restore.

I just finished my first restoration, a 1951 Hallicrafter 820. It was badly damaged in shipping from NY to Milwaukee. CRT neck broken off and the bulb was floating around inside the cabinette. Did a lot of damage to the chassis, both physical and electronic. Did a full recap, replaced vert oscilator blocking trans, and various tubes and resistors. Hope you enjoy the photos,
