Was trying to find how the POWER UP signal worked when my probe slipped and shorted POWER UP with V IN (+28V). I heard a buzz from the transformer, front panel went dark, certainly "destroyed" STK7217 as I felt it was hot.
In isolation I see that Always 5.8V now measures -1.8V. I'm most concerned about the VCR mainboard, have I damaged it?
