Prolem with Sony Trinitron Wega model KV24FS120

Screen is only half lit. bottom is blank and top half has lines running through it. Any ideas where to start looking?

Sounds like you've lost half your vertical sweep, or the linearity has gone way out of whack, possibly bad caps or a bad vertical IC, or both.
I'm not familiar enough with the specifics of the set to offer more but someone will probably step up with some help.

Dont remember the vert on those but we did sell a ton of them.
Check for PC cons at vert IC very common on that
vintage Sony.
Most ran on +15 & -15 from the FBT be sure you have both.
If not will usually be the diode & low value resistor +- 1 ohm.
And as always electros but I would put them 3rd.
