Eames Era
This seller, along with many others, refers to the item being from the "Eames Era". I've seen items from the 70's and 80's as well being labled this. I kinda get the feeling that the lableling is about as acurate as someone listing a 1985 RCA XL100 as vintage. In any case... what, where, and when was the Eames Era? Also, who the hell was Eames anyway????

Ray and Charles Eames were a husband and wife team of designers.
Very influential, the look of the 50's was in no small part due to them. http://www.eamesoffice.com/resources/bio.html Acording to the IMDB she died in 1988, he may still be alive?? Last edited by Eric H; 10-13-2003 at 06:11 PM. |

Ahhhh.... IC! Thanks Eric. Yes, it seems that the term does get a bit overused today.
Last paragraph said he died in August 1978.
