Question for Philco experrts.

I am restoring a Philco chassis 9L42. The vertical tries to work, but it's only 1 cycle per second. All couplates in the sweep section were rebuilt. As i understand, the height and lin controls were notorious for going kerblooie. Does the 9L42 fall into this category? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check the cathode resistors and pots in the vertical output stage.
