Found an Admiral 30A16 S

Stopped by to visit a friend this afternoon, he's getting ready to move out of state, and he showed me this set he had buried away in his garage. He needs it to be gone and I would like to see it go to someone here at AK if anyone's interested. Blond cabinet is in great shape from what I can see, finish is flaking off, but otherwise sound. All tubes are present in both chassis, uses a 108P4 round CRT. Looks like the mice have been using it for storage but it's not bad. I didn't have my camera with me, but I could go back Mon or Tues if someone needs photos. Pretty cool looking set. It is missing one knob for Horz and Vert adjustment on the front. Could anyone tell me what this might be worth? Anyone interested? Probably have to be picked up here in the Rockland area of Maine, about 200 miles from Boston as the gull flies. I have one of these, probably in the same condition. One of Admiral's earliest. Not bad sets; some find them a little on the ugly side. Prices are all over the place on old tv sets. Mine was somewhere in the $20 range, other times they might go for $50, $100, more. Not enough collectors out there to really set the prices. Much depends on the condition of the picture tube. My experience has been that most 10BP4's are good, and you can get used ones if you have to, but that is an added expense in restoring the set.

Thank you, Bryan, for the reply. That's pretty much what i figured. I don't really have much to do with tv, collect mostly hifi and stereo stuff. I'll pass the word on to my friend. If this set is headed off to the recycle I'll grab it and hold on to it for while. Somebody might want it later. Good thing I have a barn. Thanks again for your comments.
