philco 1601

just picked up a philco 1601 at a tag sale today. it is complete with some extra tubes.i dont know too much about this set.it was in a garage for more than a few years. i wont dare do anything with it. very jittery today!!!inside was a receipt from the plain city furniture store. they went under 51 years ago.if anyone has any info,please pass it along.in this forum are the greatest techs and people alive!

I checked and this is the same model I have. This might have been one of the first of their split-chassis sets? Makes them easy to work on. Mine works great-all glass 16" round tube set.
