Majestic Radio - Need Model #

Does anyone know the model number for this Majestic Radio?

The tubes are 6D6, 6C6, 43, 25Z5, and 12Z3.

I forgot to mention.

The radio has a resistive line cord.

The dial just has a scale of 0 to 100. No frequency markings.

It's not listed on Radio Attic's photo archive, which is where I always look. There are indexes based on tube lineups - have you posted the pic at Antique Radio Forum? Someone will know.

I posted the picture at Antique Radio Forum and no luck yet.

Also, I searched through Riders Volume 3 to 11 under both Majestic and Grigbys with no luck.

Someone at Antique Radio Forum suggested a very similar Ansley schematic which will help me.

Also, someone suggested I use a 7mf unpolarized cap instead of a large resistor to help replace the resistive line cord.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

It may fire up with a recap and tube testing/replacement so you wouldn't really need a schematic. Usually they do unless they are hacked or have serious problems like burned interstage transformers and that sort of thing. If it doesn't fire up start checking resistors for drift, tube sockets for corrosion, etc., but they usually do. I'd just go for it. Long as you can read the values on the caps and replace with the same or close values.

Thanks for the advice.

I was just going to go ahead. Over the years I've fixed 100's of radios and TV's without schematics. For some reason I never felt comfortable with resistive line cord projects.

If I'm not afraid of the high voltage in a TV, I guess there's nothing to fear in a radio like this.

I'll let you know what happens.
