Slyvania B&W console model 23L99CU _Help
Hello everyone, I need some date on a set. I thought the halolight tv's went out in the 1950's. This set looks much newer and only has a on-off for the halolight in the back. It does not look very bright but still works. Were all the halolights florescent?
thanks, Ray |

That's a 1964-1965 model. I think they all had fluorescent tubes, but I'm not sure. You should be able to find a photofact for it fairly easily.

Thanks John, Maybe the bulb is on it's way out, halolight seemed to be faint.
The set actually worked quite well. trying to figure on a fair price to offer the owner. The asking price I was given was $150, and i thought $75.00 would be more in line for a 1964-65 set. Cabinet is in Italain Provential and in excellant shape |

I have a 1952 model 42M halo, and a Sylvania Halo model 23C20M. I thought that must have been one of the later ones, I guess mine is a 1959 model? Would enjoy pics of the one you are looking at. Hope you get it. I watch both my halo's quite a bit, and the older one has a stronger light image, but both sets work great and have turned into great conversation pieces.
