I got the little Panasonic. Yeah, too much money, but so what ? I also got a WORKING Sony 8-301W, as new in box, for WAY too much, but I wanted th' damthing, so there... Nobody ever accused me of having Good Sense....

I agree. Sometimes you gotta make financial sacrifices for something good. There's a vertical collapse issue that I had trouble fixing on my old Zenith so I needed to pay for a repair. It's no big deal because it's my money and I'm spending it on something I want.

At least that was the logic I used this past weekend when I bought another Jukebox.

Well, how often do these l'il fellers or those Sonys come up, after all ? I'll NEVER have a CT-100, or a prewar set, but both of these are pretty cool in their own ways. And yeah, the only things you truly regret are opportunities missed...I have an 8-301, GREAT cosmetic condition, but it don't work, & apparently has an Unobtainium part shazbotted in it...When I kick, somebody's gonna have a LOT of neat, but decidedly ODD & varied trinkets...I just hope they don't shit-can the lot of 'em....

A jukebox!!! Pray tell what model jukebox did you buy? I love jukeboxes!!! I'm down to 6 from 8 (not counting a Seeburg HSC1)in the house and 4 or 5 out in my storage sheds out back. I sold 3 jukeboxes to Lloyd Thoburn of Coin Op Warehouse to pay some medical bills. .2 of which I don't regret too much(A Mills Do Re Mi and a Wurlitzer 2510) Wasn't doing too much with them.

The one that brought the most $$$ and hurts the most. was my prewar 1938 Wurlitzer 24A. Needed some veneer patches and refinishing(which I'm no expert in) but the sound was awesome.Lloyds son couldn't believe how good this old 78 jukebox sounded.I had the Astatic 51 lightweight tonearm conversion from Victory Glass on it.

Now when I want to hear my 78s I gotta go to the bedroom and load em' up manually on my Maggie console.There is a Wurlitzer 1400 in my junk room(spare bedroom) but she needs lots of tlc and cabinet restoration before she's a runner.

On that.How about things we couldn't buy because when they turned up we were short on funds? I'm still kicking myself for the Wurlitzer 1900 Centennial jukebox that showed up at a local consignment auction in 1994. I only had $200 to spend. It sold for $500. They go for thousands on ebay these days.A super rough one that was local just sold for almost $2000 on ebay. I still have and don't regret buying my consolation prize a 1985 Rockola Supersound 2 jukebox. Got it for $200. Just a few dollars over budget when sales tax was added to it.Even though an 80s jukebox isn't worth squat on the collector market it is a nice sounding and pretty when lit up jukebox.

I love jukeboxes as well(would have killed for one before I was about 8). Still do not have one, but it is on my after I finish college and get a decent job gifts to my self for working hard list, next to a CT-100 with good CRT (I just have to have a working one), a Scott console, and a 40s automobile(there so many that I like the styling of that it will be a tough decision). When I finally get one it'll have to be a 30s or 40s Art Deco unit with catlin plastic and a visable 78 rpm mechanism with preference to a few modles of Wurletzer and Rock Ola. That was IMHO the best era of asthetic design and music(Swing) this country has ever seen. If my pay is REALLY good I may even start collecting jukes after all I've got enough 78s to fill several of them!

That motorola is a neat set. Whats the deal with the UHF tuner? I don't see any numbers but the knob must somehow light up with the channels as I see wear around it.

Yeah, it's probably like the UHF tuners on our Zenith Chromacolors where you simply turn a dial and the channel numbers just illuminate.
