majestic radio

just aquired a majestic 130a.what a heavy piece of elctronics!i need a few parts to get it working again.the tuning assembly bracket,(behind the tuning knob) s broken and a g-24 tube.t played very well but the tube went on it.the cabinet is decent and will get a partial rest.not so bad i have to completly strip.i have to say that this s really well built and i can see why it will probably be here working when i am gone!

I just picked up a a 130 A today. Couldn't resist, so I plugged it in. Tubes glow, faint capacitor hum, but no audio.

Took that monster chassis out to start replacing caps and quickly realized that they are all in cans filled with tar.. .Who does that.....

I think this one is going to go in the "stuff to eventually get into" pile.

Did you get yours working?
