Sylvania did not seem to sell alot locally and I thought they were very under-rated
The smallest color set in 1969 was that CB35W, my one Aunt had one as a bedroom set. It had a real nice picture for a small set, much better than a porta-color. My other Aunt had a later version of the D61 (D14 chassis) 19" set and that was a hybrid. Another fantastic performer. I always like the neon lamp for dial indicators, lasted the life of the sets usually.

Very nice brochure, thanks for posting. I have seen that site before and there's a lot of stuff that's not linked through any of their pages. It's like they loaded a bunch of stuff on the server but never got around to creating the pages and links for it.
My impression of Sylvania is it was the one brand that really was trying to improve its products through the 60's and early 70's, not cut corners and make their stuff cheaper to build like other brands. They also tried to make as much stuff in the US as long as they could. |
