Found an Advent!!

It is a model #VT-1000a. It is HEAVY!! I'll bet this thing weighs more than 200 pounds!! I had to get my hand cart to get it. And, for a video projo, it is BIG!! I'll bet someone paid 3k, or more, for this old thing, about 30 years ago, or so. The CRT lenses are huge, as projos go, probably 7or 8 inches, with a strange reflector device inside of them.

It is still in the van, I'll put it in the garage tomorrow. I have no idea, of the operational status, condition is "fair"(some genius covered the top half with woodgrain "contact paper").

I was juast going to leave it, but for some reason, I just couldn't do so, with a clear conscience. I figured ,maybe someone may want it from me, sometime, or such(the same is NOT true, for an 82 model Sony, 26", the one with that awful 26" tube, that is NEVER good, I left it, with no problems at all, a couple so streets away from the Advent. ) For now, it will go in the new storage garage, and most likely serve as a stand, for other things.

HA! I'm laughing on your comment about that Sony with the 26" tube. Has anyone EVER come across one that was any good? My parents had one, and when the tube went South, I discovered what a complete rip off it is for anyone with the misfortune of having one. You can't recharge the tube, and at that time you could ONLY get a replacement from Sony for around $350.00. I wonder if that is still the case now and if Sony even offers it anymore? Glad you got the Advent!
