Well yes, it is a Predicta

You don't normally think of a Predicta as a big Floor model but here's one:

It does say Predicta on it!

Is this the Miss America model?

Philco Predicta-uh...

I've got a very similar set, possibly a year later, styled as the "Miss America 24" (model #6636-SR, SWR, SLR ($525-550 depending on finish--striped mahogany, walnut or limed oak)and it does use the (ugh) Perma Circuit chassis 10L60. This was in their "Mastercraft" cabinet line. I believe the Predicta designation was dropped from the '60 line of traditional cabinet models so this is most likely a '59 model. A nice touch: press down on the channel selector and it pops up out of the cabinet top which also turns the set on. Sometimes not. The smaller knob is the fine-tuning. The CRT in these things is a huge, 110-degree jobbie. Shame--coulda had a cheap RCA color set at this price!
