Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum. Just found it the other day and have been enjoying the read. Can anybody tell me why this Hallicrafters T54 has the Midas Touch?

Or more likely the relative newbie with 8 feedback placed an astronomical bid never dreaming the other guy would nickle and dime him to death

The Midas Touch - I've heard of that. Isn't that where everything that King Midas touched turned into mufflers?

I guess we're all millionaires by default... I'll list on eBay a 1984 Wards 19" portable missing knobs. Maybe I will get $500 for it if that T-54 sold for that much!
