Nice porthole find

Picked up this 19" Zenith porthole combo this morning, My ad is still paying off and it ran out 2 months ago!!
Was this one of their high end models? Strangely, It still works.

I remember someone calling that model or one similar the "Stratosphere" Like the radio of the 30's, Is that so?

Here is an ad for the "Stratosphere" model.
It's not a combo, at least the one in this ad isn't.

Nice find Captain!
What are chances of finding a "Porthole" Zenith TV and a "Shutterdial" Zenith Radio in the same week! Once restored those Zenith combo's perform great and give a really good picture. As you know I have the Blonde 16" Combo. I was surprised at how light the TV chassis and CRT was when I pulled it out of the cabinet for servicing, The weight is all in the cabinet.
