need vintage motorola now!

Hi,
I am working on an ad for Motorola and am looking for a 1957 potrable, metal model. I would also be interested in any portable motorola tv's from the 50's or early 60's. If you have any sources, I need these items to buy or rent asap. I am only interested in Motorola. Please call, call, call! 917-690-7635

Sorry to be, "whatever", but don't you think you'd get the response your looking for by posting your ad in every forum simultaneously? One is probably enough... Good luck though!

What is this ad for the reintroduction of motorola into the TV world? Kind of like GM insulting harley earl on the cadillac commercials, they show the good respectable 1950s cadillac then show the "cool" (peice of crap) new car (like the CTS). Same thing? A compare old to new ad?
Dont have any moto equipment at all.

I read the article and it seems like the entertainment equipment for Motorola will be made by one of the companies it acquired...don't know if the engineering/design of the sets will be foreign or U.S. It appears that these will be foreign made but not just a relabel of another Chinese manufacturer.

The article I read said the first place they would be selling the new sets would be China so a good chance thats where they would be made? I've seen such portables on ebay from time to time but have not looked lately. Seems like if people knew the company was looking for one they'd rush them online! I do have a Motorola TV from the later 50s (has the "batwing" emblem, anyhow) but it is a big, ugly table model.

I have in my memory an ad in Time magazine for Motorola, must have been late 70s. It was a 2 page spread and it had a great photo of a Motorola Color TV from the 50s. It really made a big impression on me (and I was just a little kid at the time). I've never been able to find that ad again. The reason for it, as I remember, was to explain why the company wasn't in the tv business any longer & about the technology it was involved in. I really don't think this was from when Motorola sold the TV business-I think this was later in the 70s or maybe early 80s. If I was doing an ad I think I would be more inclined to feature such a set as that plus the VT 71, the rectangular color tv and the Quasar. Those were all milestones for the Galvin folks, I feel.
