Zenith A402
Hey all
Got a Zenith A402 tube portable from a frequently visited flea market for $4, Want to make some batteries for this beast, but need to know what the A battery voltage is (I know the B is 90, so 10x9v on that), and which battery connector goes to what (two snaps)

The large "B" clip might be for a 67-1/2 Volt battery, not a 90-Volt. I have three similar radios (but not Zenith). They have the same large B clip going to 67-1/2 Volt batteries. The "A" batteries for them are 1.5 Volt. Your small clip looks like an old-style 9V though. If that helps...

I'll give that a try, I have all the batteries I need in the way of getting the 67.5v though

Looks like the large clip is for the 'A' battery... schematic at http://techpreservation.dyndns.org/s..._A402_174.djvu (You need the DjVu plug-in from lizardtech.com)
