8t-243

Well I sat that crazy Space Command to the side and pulled out the old RCA 8T-243 that I was posting about my CRT and proper ion trap last year. This set seems more hopefull for repair and I know it holds more value. I have partially recapped the set and changed maybe 6 resistors. Right now the horiz frequency is off. There is a horiz lock adjustment on the back but I never got it to straighten up. I have good sound and from what I can tell good video. I have a good feeling knocking out some more black beauties may bring this one back to life. I need knobs and a back cover if anyone has spare parts.

I believe I have knobs for you, and a channel insert as well. If you can post a pic of which knobs it's got, I'll dig them out.

Picture

Here's a good picture of what they look like.
All the inner knobs look the same but the one for the fine tuning has a bigger hole.

Just for the record the two inner knobs that I do have are identical. In other words not for fine tuning. The channel sleeve is very important to me since the set looks awful without it. Eric do you have a pic of a channel sleeve?
