EH Scott find II follow up

Guys I finally had some time to try and bring up this old monster (The Phantom FM that I posted pictures of back in July.) Well everything went fine on the variac and I was getting static at about 75. Then I went up to 85 and one of the electrolytic caps in the power supply blew. How should I go about replacing these 3 caps is it best to grind out the inside of the cap and insert a modern unit, or should I try to find a serviceable original set of caps? From what I hear, electrolytic caps have a tendency to blow when they get old.
Also what do you guys think of or know about SK-182 Lafayette 12" speakers and University T 210190 horns. I found these 2 old monster cabinets 2.5' X 2.5' X 4.5' with homemade crossovers and these components at my Goodwill. They weigh at least 100 pounds each and look very well built with fancy grill cloth and wood grain Formica covering . Where they a kit? Does anyone remember or know of plans for these being sold in the 1950's or 1960's? I will post pictures later they are in storage they were to big to get into my house right now.

I would leave the old caps physically in place, but disconnected. Install new caps under the chassis if possible. You may need to install a terminal strip to tie the caps in. I'd also suggest replacing the rest of the caps in the set, the paper ones go bad too.
