Am I reading these caps correctly?
Could someone please verify I'm correct, or wrong with these?
I'm not well versed in this and don't want to blow anything up but I think I got this, this time. I hope. Using this link:http://antiqueradio.org/art/recap13.jpg I had to identify two molded paper cap values. The first one has bands: RED, RED, ORN, GRAY, and BLU. I read this as being a .00022uf 600v cap. Would that be correct? The second has bands: YEL, PURP, RED, GREY and BLU. I read this one as .0047uf 600v cap. Would this be correct? Here's a pic of the first one, I cut it out the other day. Thanks, for your help I really appreciate it!

OK thanks so much Nick the Nole! After I typed the .00022 I looked to see if I could find it on just radios cap chart and could not, so I wondered about the decimal.
Anyway, the more I do of this the better I'll get of course. I'm more used to pinball and arcade game cap reading, pretty much only electrolytic type used there. Thanks again! |
