Sonora 455
I need to find a schematic on this radio. I cannot find it in Sams, Beitmans or Riders. Last owner did some hack-ups.

It’s actually 6 tube. 35W4, 35C5, 12AV6, 12BA6, 12AU6 and 12BF6

Probably an All American 6 type circuit considering the very common tube types. I wonder why 6 tubes if it's just AM? Maybe it has an RF amp stage

The 12BF6 is the oddball in the lineup. Wonder what its function is
being it's a dual-diode/triode, and the 12AV6 is also a dual-diode triode.

According to the tube lineup, the radio in question has a separate osc and mixer stage. The osc. is the 12BF6 and the mixer is a 12AU6, the rest of the circuit is the typical AA5 type. You only needed a low mu triode for the osc function.
