GE 17-T15 Issue
Hello, guys...been a long time since I was here....pulled out my GE 17-T15 set for the first time in 10 years, and she was working pretty well when stored, but I'm getting just this curved vertical band and wonder if this might suggest something familiar to anyone....suggestions what to check 1st appreciated!!

Open horz yoke winding would be the most likely suspect.

Thanks, coot...definitely not getting enough horizontal output...I'll check the yoke and solder joints on any caps I replaced in the horz section! I needed a little jog of the old memory!

Looks to have adequate HV, indicating the horz output stage is healthy. An open yoke winding (or wiring to the yoke) would cause little or no deflection.

OK, found the HV wire to the yoke had come loose (or was never connected when I reinstalled the chassis!! After reconnecting the lead and cleaning the tuner, I now have good audio from the adjacent channel, but only a faint trace of the video hidden in the snow....I'm going to try feeding different channels from the modulator to see if another channel besides 3 or 4 might be in better tune...
