Just saw The Producers tonight...
Gotta say I enjoyed it. It was offensive in that classic Mel Brooks way. I cannot imagine many groups who would not have found something to be offended about in it! Very Broadway. Felt more like a stage musical then a movie, and WAY over the top. The Keep it Gay number had to be one of my favs!

The '68 movie I've always thought was pee-yer-pants funny...the little faggot w/the pointee goatee-the director's "assistant"-he was a SCREAM. The Hitler audition...the old woman hollering "Boids ! He keeps Boids !..." As far as it being offensive, well, you know what they say about people who can't take a joke ? F*%k 'em...-Sandy G.

The original is a classic. It's hard to imagine anything better than Gene and Zero. I've been debating whether or not to see the new version, remakes are usually so disappointing but I have heard very good things about this one.
