very sad Knight Star Roamer general coverage Rx

My father is in the process of downsizing from his longtime home to an apt in another state. We were helping him pack (well, packing for him) last weekend. I found my own old Knight Star Roamer radio. I bought this in the mid-1970's from a tech in the Biophysics Dep't at my alma mater for $5. At some point, it developed a bad P/S cap and was retired for repair (which never happened). It is now in a very sad state. Indeed, after I rediscovered it, dirty and partly disassembled, it's now even sadder. Somehow :-P picking it up, I managed to snag and snap the dial cord.

It's virtually junk, but I just now was thinking perhaps someone out there in AK-land might want it for -- something. Target practice? Dunno.

I will retrieve it when the ol' man actually moves and schlepp it home. If anyone'd like it, send me a PM and I can provide a bit more info. Strictly a freebie (not worth paying shipping for, either); I suspect it could be resurrected, but it's not exactly a Collins, if you get my drift! :-)
