Hi Angelo, I typed in Eico st-70 schematics into Google and got this link http://www.triodeel.com/schindex.htm there is a crappy picture there, but there was a link to the unofficial Eico website, which might have more stuff. Just try Googling the name, model and schematics in Google Images and you will find something. As far as cleaning i would not soak transformers in any water based solution. Maybe someone else has good way remove dirt from chassis. Oh i think you might get more responses in the Audio section of the forum, Maybe under the DIY section, Logan

The EICO user group on Yahoo has the files and a bunch of good posts from Eico nuts.

"Can you wash them and dry them in the sun to clean dust/dirt off"
hmmmm... never thought about it - never tried it - I generally start with a paint brush some compressed air and go from there.

Most were kits, some were factory wired - they generally had an EICO QC stamp on the chassis if they were factory wired.

The general wisdom is not to fire it up without a variac and a check up.

The unofficial Eico site is off the air but I have all the files if you need something that's not on the Yahoo groups files.

Lots of good tubes in those old Eicos, so even if it's dead the tubes are a find alone. I've got a couple ST-40s here I'm going to rehab, one of these days

Eico

I use a ST-70 for my main amp. If you get it up and running, you ll love it with the right speakers. At 35 w/pc you need something fairly efficient.
These are great sounding amps. good luck.

The Eico site on Yahoo has a recent thread about cleaning the Chassis. Be careful as if I understand correctly the chassis are made of a toxic metal.

My 2050 still has all of it's original EICO tubes other than the rectifier. They are good tubes! For a rusty bucket of bolts it still sounds like a million bucks!
