how to test CRT

The 10HP4 CRT I want to use for this, how can I test it???
I have a Sencore BIG MACK with mods. G2 voltage higher and universal socket. Testing on this, cant get to cut off and emission
reads low but have bright white spot on face while in emission test. Have a 7JP4 does same not as bright and a 8CP1 same with dull green spot. Tried a 3RP1 also, can get cut off, good emission,
and a super bright green spot while in emission. BIG MACK was never made to test electrostatic tubes so is my tube good or bad???

I would say if you can get light on the screen, the tube should be good...you will probably have to test the tube in a TV set equipped for electrostatic deflection to test deflection...the deflection plates should still work fine if the tube produces light. You could also probably hook it up to an oscilloscope chassis to provide a test signal.
