I picked up the RCA. Its chassis is rusty, but it appears to be complete except it is missing its back as well as the front panel and glass. Here is the picture from the Craigslist ad:

Bill, that would have been a long trip to Florida for the set anyway. I hope to take some pictures this weekend (and remember how to post them properly; I do have my own server space for hosting if needed). They may not be visible, but there are three metal brackets or strips that hold the CRT in, more or less. I don't think they belong there, but they would imply that the bezel has been gone for a long time. Also, the speaker is attached facing up rather than being on the front where it belongs, and there are loose wires in that area. I hope the audio section is complete, because the other 630TS I own was converted to a video monitor probably early in its life and was missing its speaker and some other parts when I found it in the store where I worked in 1979. I did some work on that one years ago but never finished it, and I did not know how to do a proper restoration yet then anyway. These sets are historic enough that I would much rather get them both working than use either for parts. I do also have an RCA 8TS30 that I can use for audio circuit comparisons.

Oh, well. Problem is at one time I had audio on set, but, only 1kv high voltage.
I put entire set in back Florida room for storage, and, forgot about it.
I went through two horrible years of roof leaks before I was able to get the money to re roof.
I found set a few months back, and, brought it in. Chassis is now rusty, which it wasn't, and, one side of case has major water dammage.
Besides that, when I bought it from Harry Poster, he didn't include back cover, or, bottom cabinet panel.
I also need to find out where to get replacement resistors that will fit the metal box. One was burned out, and, when I replaced it. two others popped. One shorted to chassis, and, one burned out. I have modern resistors hanging out.
At that time I had audio reception, but, low hv.
Not enough to light up screen.
This tv had been used to death, and, I had to replace half the tubes, as well as total recapping, and, new electrolytics.
I'll probably have to do that again, as that was nearly nine years ago, and, it hasn't been plugged in since.
I really do want to finnish this set.
