Hoffman Easy Vision 6??

Picked up a couple Hoffman Easy Vision tv sets and trying to figure out what model this beat up set is. It looks like the 612 but that set is said to have doors which this one doesn't. Picked them both up for less than 50 and putting them into the queue. Any help identifying or verifying it's a 612 would be appreciated.

I'll get some pics of the 15 inch up later

Wonder if anyone ever watched a Hoffman while fighting the flu, and called that distinctive feature "Queasy Vission".

Good luck restoring them.

Here is the other one. It's a Model 634 made in 1950. Can't find any info on it other than it uses the 16RP4 Tube. The 12lp4 in the other set checks out so at a minimum, I have a spare tube. Here are some pics and more at the photobucket site

I assume that's a typo; the stamp on the back clearly reads 1950.

I sold a set like that many years ago. That green tinted safety glass really wasn't bad once you got used to it. It really was slightly easier on your eyes. You can see it's a higher quality set. They must have used their own tuner. The first set I saw that had two 6J6's, instead of a 6J6 and a 6AG5, or simular penthode.

I think 612 is the chassis number (?). I've seen a 4-digit model number on late 40s Hoffmans, if I recall.

Yep, pretty sure it's a 612 but with no doors. Sure is a heavy unit
