RCA GMR648P Info?

I'm gonna put my Silvertone BW TV projet on hold for a bit. I got this RCA XL 100 tv I just pulled the chassis from. It's a floor model. Just wondering if anybody had any info on this TV. I'm gonna recap it.

Model number is GMR648P. Thanks in advance!

Anybody know the Value of this Resistor? Found it on the neck board R16. PCB looked pretty burnt so figured I better check it. Bands are really hard to read.

I thought it might be Brown White Blue Gold. That would make it a 19M ohm resistor. Does that sound right? Or what I think is the blue band is really small could be black, so Brown White Black Gold That would make it a 19 ohm. On my multi meter the only good reading I'm getting is 50 ohms on the 200 setting.

Just hard to read those bands. Thanks.

You'll have to identify it in a schematic somehow. 19 is not a standard 5% value (with any suffix) and it is almost surely not as large as 19M and probably not as small as 19 ohms.

Could it be a 50 ohms? That's what it's testing as if it hasn't failed. Or are the colors not even close?

I really can't tell what the colors were, except that the first *might* have been brown; the second and third I think are burnt beyond recognition, and the 4th still does look like gold. Also I'm guessing 50 ohms is unlikely, but that's a very wild guess without knowing where it was in the circuit. Need someone who knows this set to check in here.

Yep me to. I'm cheap I don't want to pay 18 bucks for a download of the schematics.

Or orange. And if it's a 47 ohm resistor, then 50 ohms would be a reasonable reading, given a 5% tolerance and usually +/- 2-3% accuracy on most DMMs.

Placed a order with Mouser for Caps. I've got one that seems to be kinda hard to find. 30uF 250volt. I ended up ordering three 10uf 250volt and I guess I'll put them together as much as I hate doing that. Anybody know a place that'll sale 30uf 250 volt?

C508 1500uF 35v
C506 4.7uF 100v
c505 10uF 100V
c414 10uF 25v
c115 68uF 35v
c106 1uF 50v
c122 30uF 250v
c407 22uF 25v
c121 220uF 25v
c120 680uf 35v
c701 4.7uf 35v
c812 1uF 50v
c211 680uF 35
c201 100uF 25v
c105 680uF 200wv (Filter Cap what does the wv mean?)
c321 3.3uF 50v
c202 1uF 50v
c709 150uF 16v
c711 0.47uF 50v
c703 10uF 25v
c706 22uF 25v
c707 0.47uF 50v
c806 1uF 50v
c807 0.47uF 50v

On the big Filter Cap on the end it said wv for the volts? I wasn't sure what that meant anybody know?

It stands for working volts or working voltage.

When you run into odd ones like that, just use the closest standard value... in this case a 33uf. Values on electrolytics are rarely all that critical, since the tolerances are so wide anyway.

33uf@250v will be fine. It's not a good idea to go lower in voltage ratings. Try to get the same or higher voltage. Same with uf capacity, a little higher is fine.
