Help with restringing Radiola 33 dial cord

I picked up an RCA radiola 33 today which still works and came with its console leg attachments. The only issue is that the dial cord is wacked out. Turning the tuning knob does nothing and I have to actually rotate the wheel on the tuning condenser to receive stations. Do any of you smart folks here know how I would restring the dial cord? Here is a picture of what the dial cord should look like and the mechanism behind it (image in the top right) http://www.radiolaguy.com/images/flatwork/Rad33sm.jpg

I watched my repair-guy do it once, but forgot exactly how he did it. Maybe this pic from the Net will help?:
