Question about finding a service manual
Hello, Y'all may have seen my post about the RCA PFR100 projection set i purchased around June, and what problems it was having, I'd like to try and repair the television, but i don't really know where to start, I could find some information on what the particular boards actually do, from a sticker on one of the panels, but i think something like a service manual would be useful. Only copy i can find is a SAMS photocopy for 23 dollars, and i want to ask if anybody else has a copy, or knows where i can find one, without paying the 23 dollars, as i'm unsure of how well their photocopies are, and don't want to pay the money if i get it, and it's illegible.
Thank y'all for reading. I'll try to be as helpful as i can. |

Sams didn't cover that set. All they can offer you is a photocopy of the RCA manual, which may be very incomplete and/or unreadable. You need to ask for someone that has an old library of RCA service data to scan theirs for you. But at 72 pages, that's asking a lot.

I can’t speak from personal experience, but other people here have purchased scans from SAMS and if it turns out to be illegible, you simply request a better scan and they resend it.

I know someone with an extra copy of this he said you could have for the cost of an envelope and postage. PM me for his contact information.
