Sort of. Rare, but not especially desirable. I think they probably made a decent number of them, but they were mostly installed in motels and the like, and they got used a lot and thrown out when they died.

I honestly wouldn't feel too terrible about it; there are a lot of Panny's out there that people like a lot more.

If you want to see some cool TVs from the general era being worked on by a good hobbyist, check out this youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ResurrectionRetro/videos

He's definitely got a few Panasonic TVs in there. It will give you an idea about what you can sometimes expect them to be like when they are working

Make sure your stuff can't get involuntarily tossed before getting more stuff. If your parents or roommates did it chew them out HARD. If you stored it someplace vulnerable and public switch to keeping it someplace private.

I'm big on boundaries so anyone getting enthusiastic with a garbage can knows to stay in their lane.

Eh, it was free anyways and the flyback MAY have been bad. I’m looking at the Commodore 1701, but those sets are $$$

Gotta ask what your goal is with the monitor?

Yeah, the intended purpose of the monitor is going to drive the kind you want to have. But honestly, you're probably best off just looking for something in good condition locally. Check out FB marketplace or Craigslist

I want a 10-13" NTSC monitor with decent resolution for experimenting, retro gaming and watching my VHS/Betamax tapes. Curved screen because flat is BORING.

As for Facebook, they're evil and I've only used them twice to contact people I couldn't find anywhere else. I don't wanna visit their Marketplace, at least not without a slew of privacy plugins installed.
But I haven't checked Craigslist. Good idea.

they also pop up in thrift stores sometimes, but less so nowadays

you can also look on ebay and try to find something local that you can pick up. i wouldn't have anything shipped if you can avoid it because there's a fairly high damage rate with shipping CRTs
