Transporting a CTC16XL

Hi All,

I am looking at a RCA CTC16XL in a nice solid wood cabinet that I believe has fixed, non-removable legs.

The question I have is this:

I can probably fit the set in the back of my Jeep Commander, but it will be a tight squeeze to get it in the back of the vehicle standing it on its legs. Would it be safe to flip the set and put it in the vehicle with the flat top of the cabinet on the bottom and the legs facing up?
