Sony FD-210 Watchman

I picked up this Sony FD-210 from the Goodwill auction for $10, this was Sony's first Watchman model in 1982.

This set has a very substantial, quality feel to it, typical of first generation electronics from that era, the case is however rather thin plastic and unfortunately this one is cracked on the side, I thought it was shipping damage but looking at the auction pictures I can see it was there all along (but described as "scratches) Oh well, for $10 it makes a really nice display set. If it weren't for the crack I'd describe it as near mint, probably spent most of it's life in the bag.

It still works but the picture will Keystone a little bit, pulling in at the bottom (you can just see it in the bottom right of the screen in the picture below), squeezing the case slightly in the middle corrects the problem so it's probably just a loose connection, not going to worry about it for now.

It came with a nifty, simulated Suede carrying bag, a genuine Sony accessory I think, at least it has the Sony logo on it.
