1948 Chinese cabinet Admiral TV

Now here's another cabinet restoration almost complete

When Rob gave me this set, it looked, well, like it came off a garbage scow . It's since gone through a complete and thorough cleaning, taking the whole case down to bare wood, and painted black in DuPont Chroma One. The result is pretty darned sharp! All that's left to do is paint the gold accents and scrollowrk on the doors and inside. I had before shots which got stolen with my digital camera but fortunately Rob had this one to be used as a guide.

This is before, which doesn't show the cracking lacquer or the horrid condition of the top. It's been sitting on my back porch for 2 years awaiting my ambition.
