Cracked Predicta Flyback Core

Hello,

I just finished rebuilding a Philco Predicta 17-in that's been working great so far. However, in addition to some wax that's chipped off the flyback transformer, I noticed that its core is cracked on both sides near the ends of the windings. I'm planning on recoating the windings with corona dope, but what do I do about the cracks in the core? I don't have a replacement, and it seems to be working okay.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
