good shortwave radios?

I'll have to do that - it skips around using the tuning knob.

I found that radio at a thrift store with no price on it - the lady at the counter says "It sure looks like it uses a *lot* of batteries - $5." I reach in my pocket and start to tell her "why don't you take at least ten for it," but before I could say much she knocks a dollar off "to make sure I'm happy with it." Well, God bless her, I certainly am.
