Sadly, though the woman who inspired Mary Ellen passed away last year, as did "Jim-Bob". According to the official website, "Grandpa and Grandma" are far and away the most popular characters from that series. I've rarely seen a actress who had more fun with her character than Barbara Eden...except maybe Shirley Jones : )

BTW, the fog here in Boise is as think as bean with bacon soup...I can EAT that...
