I'm sorry that this deal is probably not going to go anywhere. I've had similar situations dealing with flakes on my local CL and it really burns me up. I think a lot of so called sellers of stuff like this are just "fishing" to see how valuable their stuff is. If someone shows a lot of interest and/or many people respond, the sellers think they have a literal goldmine and back out of the sale. They figure that if they keep it a few more years, it will bring even more $. In short, if you ever want to deal with the nut cases of the world, just go to CL or other local online classified websites.
