Even model number doesn't always work. The guy sent me the model number on the sears but I couldn't find any reference of it on the web. Now if I had a bunch of sears literature then it wold have been easy. Last summer I picked up a 55 ish Zenith and a 1960 motorola from an old guy who buys out estates. He talked me into a Zenith with space phone which I wasn't interested in but it turned out to be a great temp set in my living room. I told the guy I liked the old stuff. Well he calls me up this spring and tells me he has this console that quit on him so he bought a new tv and wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. Apparently he forgot I only wanted OLD stuff. He wanted to get out of paying 15 bucks at the dump to get rid of his dumb console and make some money to boot.
