From the early 70s. One of my neighbor's kids saw a TV sitting out back in the alley behind our rowhouse. He said to his mom, "Look, they have a TV out back. Let's check it out." His older brother said, "If they put it out for the trash, you can be sure there ain't nothn' of any value in it..."
He was right. When we got done with something, it was all gone...
