This reminds me of our discussion about the CRT and ion trap in my DuMont RA-103.

Executive summary: The CRT looked like the type that doesn't need an ion trap, but it made no picture without it. With the ion trap in the sweet spot, it looks fantastic, so I'm keepin' it
