Telefunken Concertino grill cloth

Well I had to do it. Radio is pristine, recapped and sounding wonderful. But the yellowed grill cloth just bugged the crap out of me. Especially once I removed it and saw what color the edges were. So I soaked it with some oxyclean and ringed out all sorts of yellow liquid (nicotine?)
After a few rinses it looked great so I hung it up to dry. Today I went to see about re-attaching it to the baffle and was shocked to see it about 2 inches shorter than it used to be. Stupid me did not realize it was cotton. So now I have to either stretch it or find a replacement.
My wife thinks if I wet it slightly I may be able to stretch it back over the baffle, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas?
