Long story about a Motorola found on an abandoned farm

I had a small portable B&W when I was in the Air Force. I forget the model. I discovered that if I tuned it to a blank channel and adjusted the brightness and contrast I'd see an infinite series intersecting rotating circles in the snow.

I thought that this had something to do with the way your eyes process information and planned on trying to understand it later. But, after I gave that set away, I was never able to repeat it with any other TV.
