I think the water is an integral part of it. Before I started the water soaking the bonding material was quite hard and very difficult to penetrate. After soaking in the water it was very pliable and rubbery feeling. It would be extremely difficult to get the wooden pry bars in there unless the stuff was soft enough, and I think that's where the water comes into play. The day I put it out into the sunlight, it was still pretty brisk outside. I felt the screen and it was just warm to the touch, so I don't think the heat played a major role in the release. Bob
