1948 zenith georgian radio console

hi all, anyone know anything about this type of radio? it has a record player fm1 fm2 and i think am also. its all original and the price was right at 20.00. i also got a very early solid state ge portible am radio that takes the old type 9v battery and it has a very weird speaker without a magnet but rather a pin that goes from the cone to a coil. i get sound thats bearly able to here with a new 9v battery, maybe a bad cap or something or transistor.
