Scored an 8" Motorola from C/L

Saw this this afternoon on Craigslist for $50, about 45-50 miles away from me and the seller said it was working so I sent him a Text message.

He replied about 15 minutes later and we set up a time to meet.

I took my working VT-71 along to check the CRT just in case but as it turned out the set really did work, or at least it produced a full raster, it was still impossible to determine how good the CRT was without a signal but it at least came on reasonable quickly and I figured for $50 I could always part it out and get that back, anyway after driving for nearly an hour I wasn't going home empty handed.

Got it home and hooked it back to back with a working chassis and it looks like the CRT is in pretty decent shape!

The picture showing the movie Car Wash is with the CRT hooked to my working set, the blank raster is the set running on it's original chassis and parts, pretty amazing considering it's 60+ years old. I think it would actually tune a picture if I cleaned the tuner and controls.
