It depends where in the circuit the caps were. If they were power supply filters, I'd look for burnt B+ resistors, and possibly a blown rectifier diode or selenium. If they were elsewhere in the set, it's possible other things blew, but unlikely if the power supply caps were backwards. DEFINITELY re-replace ALL of the ones which were backwards, as they likely were all reverse-charged and thus weakened.
